Pricing questions
Is there a free trial on Pro and Premium?
Pro: every new business starts on Pro for 14 days with no card, then drops to Free by itself. Keep Pro at any point and nothing is charged until those 14 days are up. Premium: free for 30 days with a card on file, nothing charged until the trial ends; cancel before then and you pay nothing. One trial per business.
Is the free plan really free?
Yes. The core time clock is free for unlimited employees at one location: kiosk PIN punch, mobile punch, photo verification, overtime and break math, timesheets, and payroll exports, with the last 90 days of records on screen. Older records are kept, not deleted; Pro opens them again. There is no card on file and the free plan never expires.
Why per location instead of per user?
Per-seat pricing punishes you for hiring, which is backwards for a tool whose free tier promises unlimited employees. A location is a stable thing to price: a diner with 8 people and a diner with 30 pay the same $29 on Pro.
What counts as a location?
A physical site with its own staff and its own time clock: a store, a shop, a branch, a job site you run as a base. One location is included on every plan, and you add more on Pro.
Can I cancel or change plans?
Any time, from the billing page. Downgrading keeps your data; features that belong to the higher plan simply lock again. Your timesheets and records stay exportable on every plan, including Free.
Do you charge for support?
No. Support is included on every plan, the free one included.
Switching from another tool? The comparison pages set out where Homebase, When I Work, QuickBooks Time and others start charging, line by line.
