Scheduling
What is schedule adherence?
Also called: plan vs actual
Schedule adherence measures how closely worked hours match scheduled hours, exposing unplanned overtime and chronic early or late punches.
Scheduled 32 hours, paid 39, is a labor cost story worth understanding: a shift that always runs 20 minutes long, an early punch that nobody asked for, a break skipped and paid.
Watching the variance per employee and per location is more useful than a company average, because the causes are local. One station running long is a process fix, not a payroll fix.
