Post a job

Write a job posting, choose what the application asks, and publish it to your careers page in a few minutes, free on every plan.

Go to Hiring, click Post a job, fill in the role and click Post job. It appears on your careers page the moment you save. Posting jobs is free on every plan.

Write the posting

  1. Click Hiring in the sidebar, then the Post a job tab.
  2. Optional: under Start from a template, choose a job. It fills in a first draft of the title, description, responsibilities and requirements. It leaves pay and benefits for you, because only you know them. Edit anything that isn't true of this job.
  3. Under The role, fill in Job title, and if you like Department, Employment type (Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Temporary or Internship), Work setting (On-site, Hybrid or Remote), Reports to and Openings.
  4. Under Where, add the Location shown on the posting, plus city, state or region, and country.
  5. Under Pay and hours, add Pay from, Pay to and Per (Hour, Week, Month or Year), the schedule and hours per week. Tick Show the pay range publicly if you want it on the posting.
  6. Under Requirements and dates, set experience level, education, an ideal start date and when Applications close.
  7. Under The posting, write About the role, What you will do, What we are looking for and Benefits.

The job title and the description are the only two things you must fill in.

Choose what the application asks

Under Application, What the application asks lists each question: Email, Phone, Current job title, Years of experience, Earliest start date, LinkedIn or portfolio, Authorized to work in this country?, Resume, and a free note. Set each one to Do not ask, Optional or Required. Name is always asked.

To ask something of your own, click Add a screening question. Pick a type (Short answer, Long answer, Yes / No or Multiple choice) and tick Required if they must answer it. For multiple choice, type the choices separated by commas.

If neither email nor phone is required, the form asks for one of the two so you can always reply. If you turn both off, Kloqk warns you that applications will arrive with no way to contact the person.

Publish it

  1. Click Post job.
  2. The job shows on the Jobs tab marked Live, and on your careers page.

Edit, close or delete a job

On the Jobs tab, each job has Edit, Close and a delete button. Closing takes it off your careers page and keeps its applicants; Reopen puts it back. Closed jobs are listed separately under Closed.

Good to know

  • Applicants can attach a resume as a PDF, DOC or DOCX file, up to 5 MB.
  • Next: share it from your careers page, then follow up in Applicants.
